The Heinkel 64

This website is dedicated to the german sports-aeroplane Heinkel He 64. These aircraft, wellknown as the so called ‘red devils’ have been especially designed for the International Tourist Plane Contest (French: Challenge International de Tourisme) 1932, where they achieved amongst other things the 2nd place, as well as the speed contest. The aircraft is an important milestone in the development of modern light aircraft. The Heinkel He 64, as well as its contenders and successors, like the Messerschmitt Bf 108, Arado Ar 79 and others don’t have to shy away in the comparison with american postwar-aircraft. The author wishes, that everybody, who has any details not contained on this webside or is not correct helps to improve this site in writing me an e-mail.
I would like to epecially ask my english-speaking readers to give me a note if my translation seems crappy or is not understandable.
